This month, ignite your fashion senses at Sunway Velocity Mall as the mall throws its very first fashion-cum-beauty campaign aptly named ‘Posh and Glam’!
Since its inception, Sunway Velocity Mall has tripled the amount of its alluring fashion and beauty brands to more than 150 outlets, propelling the mall into the status of becoming KL’s next fashion and beauty hub in the city. The mall houses international brands like Burton Menswear, Laneige, Miss Selfridge, H and M, Lacoste, Charles & Keith, Pedro, Sacoor Brothers, M.A.C, Victoria’s Secret, Innisfree, Aldo, Superdry, SPAO and more. One of the unique line-ups include Marks and Spencer’s Boutique Concept Store and the flagship outlet for HLA Jeans in Malaysia, scheduled to open in mid-August, retailing apparel fit for trendsetters and impressionable individuals who wish to express their unique identities through their outfits.
Further bringing our mall’s Fashion, Beauty, Eyewear, Timepiece and Sports outlets to the fore, the much anticipated Posh and Glam campaign will be happening from June 29 to July 29 featuring swanky redemptions, contests and activities for fashionistas one and all.
The hottest KL fashion & beauty event in July was attended by popular instagrammers and influencers who glamed up for the event.
Together with an official media event launch on July 19 at the Vanity Atrium with leading beauty bloggers and social media KOLs such as Tasnim Shah, Chanwon, Ezlisa Loy, Syada Amzah, Tziaaa, and Karen Kho, honoured guests from partnering outlets, and media in attendance, the main campaign highlight is Sunway Velocity Mall’s very first, two-week long Fashion Parade, which will showcase the latest apparels and products from our various fashion brands.

During the launch officiated by Mr. KS Wong, Senior General Manager of Sunway Velocity Mall, fashion bloggers were treated to pampering sessions, free professional photo-shoots and make-up demos along with a fashion show featuring Lancaster, Superdry, ELLE, Marks & Spencer, Miss Selfridge and Burton Menswear. Eye make-up was generously seen to by SASA with Etude House providing a lip and cheek touch-up while Une Olive offered hand-scrubbing services. After the campaign was officiated, guests were treated to a 30-minute fashion show by renowned names in the fashion industry, showcasing the trendiest apparel, accessories, timepieces, and sportswear.
A Facebook contest with free hair makeovers to be won courtesy of A-Saloon was also run prior to the launch with Mr. Kevin Tan, Chief Operating Officer of Sunway Malls presenting the prizes to the Top 3 winners. Winners also took home a set of beauty gifts sponsored by VOIR, Etude House, Claire Organics, AsterSpring and Beaumedic worth RM1,000.

Other glamourous happenings over the campaign duration include a line-up of beauty workshops as well as other fashion-related activities from blogger sharing sessions by upcoming beauty and fashion instagrammers such as Mya Zulkifli, to professional make-up workshops and photo-booths over the weekend.

Fashion junkies will also not want to miss out the Glamorous Redemption where trendy freebies can be redeemed with purchases made at selected Beauty, Fashion, Eyewear, and Sports outlets. However, as the campaign started on 29 June and redemption has been overwhelming, shoppers are advised to hurry as the stocks are already running low.
Shoppers just need to spend RM250 and above (RM200 for HSBC Credit Cardholders or Parkson Membership Cardholders) in a maximum of 2 receipts to redeem a snazzy Flamingo Make-up Pouch. There’s also an additional Weekday Special, where those who spend RM350 and above (RM300 for HSBC Credit Cardholders or Parkson Membership Cardholders) in a maximum of 2 receipts can redeem an exclusive gift worth RM100 in addition to the Flamingo Pouch.
If this isn’t enough, shoppers and mall-goers are all invited to take photos of yourself at our OOTD Backdrop during the campaign period and upload it onto Facebook with the hashtag #SVMOOTD. Not forgetting the little ones, parents can bring their children to participate in a cool ‘Little Fashionistas’ Contest on 28 July. To take home prizes from Parkson, KidzB and KokoBlock, kids just need to ‘dress up, show off and win’. The contest is divided into Category A themed Summer Vacation and Street Wear for Category B.
