Hi Everyone,
It was a whopping success as crowds flocked to the opening of Decathlon Malaysia’s Cyberjaya outlet – its 10th store in the country, for the first time in Cyberjaya.

Located within Dpulze Shopping Centre, this outlet will be one of Decathlon Malaysia’s largest stores, with over 5,000 exclusive products covering more than 60 sports.
With an extensive sporting itinerary lined up, Decathlon welcomed the Cyberjaya Sports Lovers Community to join MY Decathlon Club and participate in the events present at the store’s grand two-day opening.
With more than 18,000 visitors over the weekend, around 1,000 participated in the activities available over the weekend; these included activities like the 5km Fun Run and mega workout sessions by Atilia Haron, Hannah Kamal, and Adila Sam from Manic Studio.
The opening of this Cyberjaya store becomes yet another initiative by Decathlon Malaysia to actively advance sport-loving communities within the country. As done within many areas of the Klang Valley already, Decathlon’s “Sport for The Many” tagline will now extend to the sporting communities of Putrajaya.
“It is always refreshing to see the number of sports enthusiasts in Malaysia growing, especially when young children display their love and passion for it. We hope Decathlon Malaysia becomes a stepping stone for individuals of all backgrounds to either pick up a new sport or to further develop existing skills in MY Decathlon Club. I am optimistic that the opening festivities of the weekend will be a source of motivation for the Decathlon Family to pursue a healthier, more active lifestyle,” said Arnaud Sauret, Chief Executive Officer of Decathlon Malaysia.
He further assured all Decathlon Malaysia fans that their outlets only stock high-quality, affordable products, as he believes the Decathlon Family deserves only the very best for their sporting needs. Arnaud Sauret also emphasised that Decathlon Malaysia prides itself on making accessibility a running theme for all sports enthusiasts in Malaysia.
The 5km Decathlon Fun Run received overwhelming support with over 500 participants running towards a healthier and fitter lifestyle. The route that took participants around scenic Cyberjaya also gave all runners a chance to take in the sights of the township. During the opening weekend, 250 lucky sports fanatics were also treated to an RM50 gift card while the rest were given free healthy ice cream as a treat and were able to “boost their juice” on a bike!
The sports retailer has upcoming plans to extend its influence to many more communities nationwide. With the success of its first outlet opening in Cyberjaya, Decathlon Malaysia built off this sporting high by announcing its all-new Decathlon Johor Bahru store that is scheduled to open next year.
Decathlon Malaysia aspires to transform all store-residing townships like they have done with Cyberjaya, into a sporting hub where future sporting activities are hosted. It is also with the hope that this will help catalyse the sporting community within other neighbouring areas of Putrajaya.
