Calling all musicians and artists! The Bee, well-known for its music prowess, is unveiling the first ever Live Karaoke night, a talent search platform, that will serve as an avenue for Malaysian hopefuls to showcase their potential.

Featuring a rotating concept where the theme, judges and prizes differ each month, The Bee Live Karaoke concept keeps it interesting for participants and provides every performer an equal opportunity to show off their talents.

For one evening a month, in-the-shower soloists; karaoke mic-monopolisers; stuck-in-traffic jammers or Whitney wannabes can bask in the spotlight as they croon and dance to their chosen song. It is a night for family, friends and everyone to enjoy music, drinks, food and performances. 

“There are so many talented Malaysians waiting for their big break. For some, it can take years to come, or not at all, which is why we decided to establish a platform for anyone who wants to give their dreams a shot. Live Karaoke is all about giving hidden talent a chance to shine,” said Rahul Kukreja, Director, Brand Partnerships & Talent Bookings, The Bee.

Debuting on October 17, Live Karaoke starts off with ‘Rock’ – a crowd-favourite genre as its theme. Participants will pick a song from a pre-selected list to perform to a panel of judges consisting of industry experts such as local artists, members of music associations, and music label representatives. The winner of the month will go on to battle it out at a Grand Finale which will be held twice a year. Two grand finalists will then go head to head in a battle for the coveted title and prizes. The winner of the Bi-Annual Grand Finale will receive prizes such as; an opportunity to open for an International Act performing at The Bee in 2020, a mentorship programme on winner’s preferred genre, as well as a pair of The Bee Special pass to any show at The Bee, for one year.

Interested talents can sign up for their golden ticket through three easy steps: 

1. Purchase a participation ticket for single or group category. 

2. Participants to receive registration form and list of songs. 

3. Participants are to sign in on the night of the contest with their song selection.

Menu specially crafted by the award winning Executive Chef Rossham Rosli and his culinary experts, bringing combinations of local and International delights; rich and flavorful BBQ Buffet Dinner on every Friday evening and fresh Seafood Buffet Dinner on every Saturday evening. Buffet is priced at MYR88 nett (BBQ Buffet Dinner) and MYR98 nett (Seafood Buffet Dinner) with half price for children aged 8 to 12 years old or senior citizens. Executive Chef Rossham Rosli, who has 29 years of experience in the culinary field. Chef Rossham has expanded his career in various renowned restaurants and five-star hotels all over the world including in New York, London, Maldives, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and Germany. He has held various key positions included as a Head Chef and Lecturer in Berjaya Hospitality University. He has been awarded as Best Head1Malaysian Chef by Chefs Association of Malaysia (CAM).
