'WORLD OF CURRIES' Di Palace of Golden Horses Hotel

Sempena bulan April ini, pihak Carousel International Coffeehouse mengadakan promosi ‘World of Curries’ di Palace of Golden Horses Hotel. Diterajui oleh Chef Sous Eksekutif, S. Pertandingan Penerbitan Pertama Di Dunia ‘Page to Pitch' (P2P) Media 360 Anjuran Perbadanan Kota Buku.

Malaysia’s leading hub untuk for penerbit, penulis dan pembaca iaitu Perbadanan Kota Buku dengan kerjasama Kumpulan Media Karangkraf dan National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) bakal menganjurkan penerbitan pertama di dunia ke media mengikut peratuannya pertandingan bertajuk, Page to Pitch (P2P) Media 360.


Pertandingan ini yang akan diadakan bersempena dengan Kuala Lumpur Trade & Copyright Centre (KLTCC) edisi ke-9 dan juga acara tahunan Kuala Lumpur International Book Fairs yang bertujuan untuk membuka peluang kepada penulis dan menyediakan platform untuk cantuman penulis untuk menerbitkan idea-idea mereka dan membangunkan hasil penulisan Harta Intelek (IP) ke dalam kandungan media digital. Pertandingan ini terbahagi kepada dua kategori iaitu dengan tema 'Adapting Books and Ideas into Digital Media.'


Bagi kategori pertama, ‘Idea to Publishing’ menjanjikan penulis peluang untuk menerbitkan idea-idea mereka ke dalam satu penerbitan Karangkraf bernilai sehingga RM50, 000 nilai selain daripada RM5, 000 Hadiah dari Kota Buku dan peluang pemasaran antarabangsa apabila idea mereka diterbitkan. 

Dalam kategori kedua, ‘Book to Development’ menawarkan penulis yang untuk memindahkan penerbitan mereka ke dalam bentuk media digital yang pelbagai seperti filem, siri TV, animasi, komik digital, permainan, aplikasi dan sebagainya. Pemenang kategori ini akan menerima ‘green lane’ untuk permohonan mereka di pembangunan geran FINAS bernilai sehingga RM500,000 nilai selain daripada RM5, 000 Hadiah dari Kota Buku dan peluang pemasaran antarabangsa. 



Sayed Munawar Sayed Mustar, CEO Kota Buku berucap di majlis pelancaran baru-baru ini, "We are aware that there are many undiscovered talented writers out there. Therefore, P2P is the golden opportunity for them to shine and get the recognition for their talent. We hope the competition will encourage not just our nation’s creative writers, but ASEAN writers as well to boost their talent and strive to enrich the publishing industry as a whole."
