Penang, 3rd February 2013 — About 40 bloggers and public visited The Ramakrishna Ashrama to distribute food, beverages and gadgets, sponsored by various commercial entities. It’s a philanthropic exercise not only by businesses in executing their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) but by everyone to give back to the society, thus making life more bearable for everyone in need. The event is made possible by Crowdpot Sdn Bhd (Event Organizer), Ninetology Malaysia, SUBWAY® (Suntech, iAvenue, & Leith Street branches), Chatime Malaysia, Langkawi Saga Travel & Tours Sdn. Bhd. and Alextan Artworks.

The Ramakrishna Ashrama (Orphanage), Penang is a charitable organization founded in 1938 under the inspiration and guidance of His Holiness Swami Bhaswarananda Maharaj who was then stationed at The Ramakrishna Mission, Singapore. Apart from spiritual activities, the Ashrama runs an orphanage, catering for both boys and girls with ages ranging from 6 to 20 years old. The orphanage admits needy orphaned children who are poor and need the help from the society to assist them with basic needs and education. The children in the home are given proper education and are well cared for so that they will grow up to be useful citizens. Besides education, the girls learn traditional dancing, cooking and housekeeping. Children excelling well academically are encouraged to pursue higher education.

How to help The Ramakrishna Ashrama?

The estimated cost to support a child at Ramakrishna Ashrama RM1,500 per annum. The breakdown cost is as follows.

Education: RM500

Food: RM600

Maintenance: RM300

A child with either no parents or with a single parent who supports the child can be admitted to the Ashrama under the following circumstances:

-          He/She is from age 6 and above.

-          The parent or relatives has no means of supporting the child.

-          The child has been mistreated or abused.

7. Sekiranya anda memandang suamimu dengan pandangan harmonis, pahalanya seperti anda berzikir kepada Allah. 

8. Seandainya anda mati dalam keadaan suamimu redha kepadamu, maka syurgalah tempatmu.

COWAY B-Day Hi-Tea Party

Hi Korang,

Aku terlupa nak citer event ni

Jom kita flashback kejap ke bulan lepas.

Aku dapat invitation ni dari Real Women Real Voices, alah yang sponsor aku COWAY Bidet selama sebulan tuh. Event cakap invitees untuk ladies je, so Mr Big teman aku sampai Acme Bar dan kemudian dia terus ke KLCC. Tak kan nak join plak kan. Ishkkk segan wokeh!

So my partner is Farah. Sebab orang lain semuanya busy bagai, aku ajak dia pi, then dia cakap ok je coz nothing to do kat umah. Ktorg sampai before 2pm cam tu, chop tempat dan borak dan borak dan borak…

Event start lambat, I knew it!

Sebab tu diorg sediakan a plain drawings and varisty type of colour pencil for us to kill the time!. Betul ko memang sangat lambat. So main kaler-kaler je.

Dah nama pun event pompuan, seharusnya citer pasal orang pompuan jelah. 

Citer pasal experience sharing toilet with men, funny storries about toilet, ada game kising-kising the artist dan memacam lagi.

Sambil tuh, makan-makan haruslah ada kan. Dah nama pun COWAY Hi-Tea. Tak kan adanya mee hoon bagai ye, kesemuanya pastries je lah.

Oh ye ke, setiap game ktorg akan diberikan markah in ice-cream sticks. Alah sket je team ktorg dapat coz lambat angkat tangan. Tapi yang paling ralat tuh tak menang satu voucher pun.

Alah tak per lah, kasi chance orang lain plak la. Nak sedapkan hati konon.

Event abis dalam kul 5pm cam tu and sebelum balik tuh, ktorg bergambo sakan lah uols.

Thanks to COWAY and Real Women Real Voices yang sudi jemput aku ke event ni, best gak dan jugak thanks to Farah coz suri jadi my partner ni crime.
