Get ready, suit up, and put on your headsets, as Malaysia's leading cinema exhibitor, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) today announced that it will be introducing virtual reality (VR) offerings in its cinemas.

Through a strategic partnership with leading VR entertainment provider, VAR LIVE, GSC will launch VAR BOXes in its theatres, as part of its efforts to create new and enriching cinematic experiences that customers can enjoy beyond the silver screen.
The VAR BOX, a dedicated simulation booth format, is designed to bring the infinite possibilities of virtual reality to audiences in a smaller footprint, and is a perfect addition to GSCinemas; creating opportunities for movie-goers to be entertained, amazed, and astounded. Powered by Oculus VR technology, these VAR BOXes come equipped with realistic weighted VR Guns that help deliver unparalleled realism.

At launch, movie-goers can experience two exclusive VAR BOX content titles - Over Kill & Double Tap - both of which are interactive shooter games with leaderboards and on line multi player capabilities. GSC's VAR BOXes will be launching in the Klang Valley first, and as part of the collaboration, GSC will be the only cinema chain in the country where VAR BOXes will be made available.
