Hi Everyone,
This Chinese New Year, KL International Airport (KLIA) is greeting passengers with the largest hand-carved dragon sculpture in Malaysia, a feat recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the Biggest Golden Dragon. The Golden Dragon is part of the airport's vibrant annual festive celebration that aims to create an engaging and joyful experience to passengers and visitors to the airport.
The golden dragon sculpture is the centrepiece of the ‘Celestial Splendour’ Chinese New Year celebration, transforming KLIA Terminal 1 into an auspicious haven from today until 24 February 2024. Symbolising power, tradition, and imperial grandeur, this magnificent dragon has been meticulously hand-carved by a skilled artist, adorned in dazzling gold.
Standing at an impressive 12 feet in height and 25 feet in length and coupled with a majestic dragon throne centrepiece, this ensemble offers visitors to KLIA an experience which is akin to a journey back to the opulence of 'Old China'.
