Leading global technology player, vivo has broken ground on a high-rise office in Shenzhen, China to house its future headquarters. Scheduled for completion in 2025, the 32-storey building that has the capacity of 5,800 employees is designed by US architectural from NBBJ.
Not only to focus on the progress of the technology, but also to prioritise the employees’ health and wellbeing, the vivo headquarters office will be housing vivo’s flagship store with an elegant spiral of indoor-outdoor gardens on every level – reflecting the next generation of high-rise offices that blur work, nature and health.
The building is intended to be as welcoming as possible. With the arrival podium starting at the ground level that creates an inviting environment for employees, visitors and shoppers; the building is also angled to be engaged with the city’s adjacent green belt that enhances the pedestrian experience.
On the other hand, each floor is specially designed for flexibility and fostering connections that lead to creativity, productivity, and overall wellbeing. In addition to the extra-large workspaces, each floor has common areas for group discussion and social activities. The open-plan floor allows flexibility at work that improves employees’ work adaptability.
